Uptime monitoring built for MSPs, with a free plan and no sales call.

Who's on watch.

The Watchbill is for the websites you look after. Each client site gets a line on the bill and a status page you can publish. When checks are running, it emails you when one stops answering. Put three free checks on one client site and see if it earns a place in your stack.

What it is

The Watchbill is an uptime monitor for managed service providers and small businesses. You tell it which client websites to watch. The plan is a check every minute and an email when a check goes down. Each client site can have a public status page that you choose to publish. The free plan covers 3 checks. Paid plans are $4.99 a month for 25 checks and $15 a month for 50 checks, with SMS coming to the $15 plan. The Watchbill is a service of LatticeDDI, LLC and runs on Cloudflare.

How it works

  1. Add a client site. A check is one thing you want watched, such as the homepage of a client you support. Each site is its own monitor, so one busy client does not share a queue with the others.
  2. A check every minute, kept for 90 days. That is the schedule. Those checks are not running yet, so there is no history to look up today. Hourly and daily summaries that go back further are not built.
  3. An email when something changes. When a check goes from up to down, the plan is to record the outage and email you, then close it when the check recovers. Email is part of every plan, including free. Nothing is emailed today.
  4. A status page, if you want the client to see it. Pages stay private until you publish them. A published page shows an open outage only when a row was stored.

Who it is for

MSPs and IT shops. You support a list of small businesses. When one of their websites goes down, you want to know which one before the phone rings, and you want a page to send them instead of a screenshot. The free plan is how you try one client without a purchase order.

Small businesses watching their own sites. A few checks and an email when something breaks is what the free plan and the $4.99 plan are for.

In both cases, The Watchbill is one alarm among the ones you should have. Checks can miss an outage. The acknowledgement says so.

Pricing

Prices are in US dollars. They are the planned prices. Billing is not open, so a paid plan cannot be bought yet.

PlanPriceChecksAlerts
Free$03Email, when sending exists
Email$4.99 / month25Email, when sending exists
MSP$15 / month50Email and priority support. SMS is coming.

A check is one monitored target, such as one URL on one client's site. SMS on the free and email plans will be an add-on. That price is not set. When billing opens, paid plans are monthly through Stripe, and you cancel in the Stripe customer portal.

What a check does not promise

Checks are planned to run on Cloudflare. Placement is by region and best effort. We will not say a check ran from a city unless a checker ran there.

If a client's site sits behind Cloudflare's proxy, a green result means Cloudflare's edge answered. That is not the same as their own server answering.

SMS is not sending. A ticket in ConnectWise, Autotask, Halo, or Syncro is not built.

Questions

Is there a free plan? Yes. Three checks, no charge, and no card.

What counts as a check? One monitored target on one client site, such as a homepage URL. The email plan includes 25. The MSP plan includes 50.

Where do checks run? On Cloudflare's network, by region, best effort. A result is not labeled with a city unless a checker ran there.

Can a client see their own status? Only if you publish the page. It stays private until then.

Does it send SMS or open a PSA ticket? No. SMS is coming to the $15 plan and later as an add-on. No PSA integration is built.
